Preserving Jefferson County's greatest attribute - rural, open land

Scores of Jefferson County residents turned out on May 8 to fill the cafeteria at Jefferson High School for a public feedback meeting on proposed revisions to the county’s comprehensive development guide. Controlling development and preserving the county’s open spaces was a priority on the minds of most residents. A newly proposed preferred growth and development plan south of Shepherdstown was introduced at the meeting.
